Overview

Class Progression

In Ragnarök Online, a character's abilities and skills are defined by their Class (also known as Job).

  • All characters start out as Novices, with a Base Level and Job Level of 1. Once they reach job level 10 they can choose between a variety of first job classes or expanded classes.
  • If choosing one of the standard first jobs, once they then reach at least Job Level 40 (up to a maximum job level of 50) they can then change to a second class job, picking from two possible choices for each first class.
  • Then after reaching Base Level 99 and Job Level 50 as a second class they can choose to transcend and start the process again, being rewarded with a more powerful, Transcendent character, which will then follow the same class advancement from the first time. That is, a transcended Knight will always transcend to eventually become a Lord Knight by leveling through the High Novice and High Swordsman path.
  • Alternatively, from Novice, players can explore one of the Expanded Classes or rise up to Base Level 45 to become the ultimate Novice, the Super Novice.
